Change happened June 2026 per Day-1 research; dated here by the first capture showing the new limits.
- incident Mailchimp: Free plan contact limit cut from 500 to 250 contacts. Compare page on 2026-01-08 read 'Starting Price ... $0/mo; limit of 500 contacts'; by the 2026-02-10 capture the pricing page showed 'Limit of 250 contacts'. Free sends already read 'Max of 500/mo or 250/day' in both captures, so only the contact cut is dated here. Effective 2026-02-17 per Day-1 research (announced January 2026).
- incident Kit (formerly ConvertKit): First price rise in 12 years: Creator at 1,000 subscribers went from $29/mo (2025-08-23 capture, monthly billing shown) to $39/mo / $33/mo annual ('$390 billed yearly', 2025-10-15 capture). New signups from 2025-09-08, existing customers from their first bill after 2025-10-15 (dates per contemporaneous reports; the capture pair is the primary evidence of the change).
